Spring Update
Hopefully everyone has a had a great winter!! Several fleet 28 members have been active this winter sailing, with Airodoodle once again taking the prize for most away games when it snows in New England!!! As I write this John Denman is in Texas doing a tune-up regatta in preparation for the U.S. Nationals at the end of April in Houston. Good Luck John and the Doodle Team!
Midwinters was well attended by Fleet 28 Boats this year with High Five, Irie( Fleet 50/28), Airodoodle, and Usual Suspect making the trek south. DIYC puts on a great regatta and I would highly recommend putting it on the schedule!! 9 races in 3 days with temp’s in the 80’s… It did not suck!!
Lots to look forward to this upcoming season. The MRA schedule comes out this week and I will be putting together our season championship series and posting it very soon. Same format this year with a mix of MRA, a Thursday night, JYC Invitational, and the NOOD’s. We had a great turnout last year and a close battle for the top spot!! Nice job ZOT!
The NOOD’s this year will also be the District 1 Championships. We are hoping for a great turnout possibly topping 30 boats!! If you know anyone from the District encourage them to come to Marblehead for this regatta, always a good time with great racing.
The new regatta on the schedule will be the JYC Invitational in Mid June. This will be hosted by the Jubilee Yacht Club and is shaping up to be a great regatta! More details to follow soon…
Please feel free to drop me line, or send me an e-mail with your thoughts for the coming season. It is shaping up to be another great year of Racing!!
Now back to waxing your boats…
